NOTE: AZ-GTi Dual Mode is only recommended for expert or adventurous users. The mount has both AZ and EQ modes of operation. Optional accessories are required for EQ mode, such as an equatorial wedge, triangular adapter, counterweight with shaft. There is currently NO technical support from Sky-Watcher for EQ mode but there are huge discussion groups online where one can seek expert advice from.

The Sky-Watcher 102/1300 Maksutov Cassegrain is a fully automatic telescope ideal for beginners and those who want to get straight to observing. It is a compact and powerful optical design that combines a front meniscus lens and two mirrors. The optical tube is closed by the front meniscus, keeping the mirrors protected from atmospheric agents such as humidity, dust and pollution. The tube is short but the focal length is long enough to provide high magnification with the standard eyepieces.

The Sky-Watcher MINI AZ-GTe mount is made in lighter, smaller and with outstanding quality. It can be controlled by iOS and Android and compatible with Syn Scan hand controller, allowing smooth tracking and alignment. Connect it over WiIFI to control the telescope with wireless mobile device smartphone or table. The Syn Scan App can be download from Google play or App Store.

IMPORTANT MESSAGE REGARDING SYNSCAN APP

Recently we have many customers who are using Android phones who reported that after they updated the Android OS to version 11 (Android 11), they  encountered compatibility issue with Sky-Watcher Apps including SynScan, SynScan Pro, and Star Adventurer Mini Console Apps on Google Play.

Sky-Watcher has since developed a new version of the apps, which are compatible with Android 11 and published it on Skywatcher.com and Aptoide.com.

Due to technical reasons, Sky-Watcher is temporarily unable to publish these new versions of the Apps on Google Play. It is expected to be completed within 2021. At this moment Sky-Watcher would like to introduce an alternative Android app store, Aptoide.com, so that you may visit the website to download the latest Sky-Watcher Apps.

This alternative Android app store allows uploading of newer versions of Sky-Watcher’s apps which are 32-bit developed apps for Android devices. This store also understands that an existing app from Sky-Watcher is available on Google Play.
